After performing Evaluate jumps, head to the Perch web app to dive deep into the data!
Perch Evaluate offers a few ways to analyze data. One way is live on the floor when the athletes are receiving immediate feedback, and the other is on the web app after the jumps are completed. Looking at the data longitudinally will enable long term assessment of athlete performance over time. This will also enable tracking how they compare to themselves and others historically.
To access your Evaluate data on the web, navigate to the Perch web app and head to the Insights page for a team view of both Readiness as well as Evaluate sets, or the Athlete Profile page for a specific athlete.
Insights
On the Insights page, you'll find Evaluate data in two reports: the Readiness report and the Evaluate Sets report.
Readiness report
In this Readiness report, you are able to select an individual user, single select or multi-select any of the three Evaluate assessments, select a single team or group, and single select or multi-select the positions you have added to your team. After filtering, you can select the date range for your report.
You can pick which metric you'd like each row to be based on and whether you'd like to see the best rep from the set or the set average. In terms of analysis, this report allows you to see the athlete's first and last name, the date and time the Evaluate assessment set was completed, the number of reps done, best rep or set average, comparison to the last session's jump data, comparison to the last 30 days of jump data, and a conditionally formatted status as well as a Z-Score for how the athlete performed that day. You can also Manage Columns, selecting only the columns you'd like to see.
Lastly, you can save this report and export it as a csv file for use externally.
NOTE: for Standard tier Evaluate customers, Jump Height is the only metric available. For access to more metrics, please contact your Perch representative.
Evaluate Sets report
In this Evaluate Sets report, you are able to select an individual user, single select or multi-select any of the three Evaluate assessments, select a single team or group, and single select or multi-select the positions you have added to your team. You can show each set or each rep of each set. After filtering, you can select the date range for your report.
You can Manage Columns, selecting only the columns you'd like to see. When "Set" is selected, Manage Columns will allow you to select any combination of Set Min, Best Rep, and Set Avg for each Evaluate metric. In terms of analysis, this report allows you to see the athlete's first and last name, the date and time the Evaluate assessment set or rep was completed, athlete position, the number of reps done, best rep or set average for the metrics you have selected.
Lastly, you can save this report and export it as a csv file for use externally.
NOTE: for Standard tier Evaluate customers, Jump Height is the only metric available. For access to more metrics, please contact your Perch representative.
Here, you'll be able to see the data for the three jumps available in the assessments (CMJ (Arms Fixed), CMJ (Arms Swing), Continuous Jumps) and look at the five metrics available to you - Jump Height, RSImod, Time to Takeoff, Takeoff Velocity, and Rep Count. Keep in mind that these will be based on software tier, so if you can't see them and would like to, please reach out to your Perch representative.
This view will allow you to look at multiple athletes at once and quickly analyze how different members of the organization are doing. If you see something that makes you want to drill down, head over to that athlete's profile.
Athlete Profile
Once you get onto the athlete's page individually and select the Evaluate tab, you can change the assessment you'd like to look at or the time frame through the filters at the top of the page. You will see two charts available for you: one scatter plot and one table. On the scatter plot, each dot represents one set. To change the metric, select the drop down in the top right hand corner of the page.
In the table on the bottom, you will see the Set History for each set of jumps, similarly to how you'd see it on the Insights page in the Readiness report, but instead of being aggregated by user, you will be able to see one line for each individual set.
If you have further questions on analyzing the assessments, or can't see things that you would like to or feel you should be able to, please reach out to your Perch representative, or email our support team at support@perch.fit.
