Leaderboards
Leaderboards display live athlete rankings on weight room screens, updating every 30 seconds. Each leaderboard supports up to three independent columns, so you can run multiple competitions side-by-side - different exercises, groups, or time periods all at once.
Setting Up a Leaderboard
- In the web app, select Display in the tool bar to navigate to the Display Library.
- Select Create New and choose Leaderboard to open the leaderboard editor.
- Name your leaderboard - this is required before you can save.
- Set your filters and display settings.
- ⚙️ Leaderboard Display Settings:
- Select the # of columns and rows you'd like to display
- Turn off/on Auto-Rotate
- Turn off/on Celebrations
- Leaderboard Filters: Choose from a variety of filter options such as Date, Team, Exercise, Position, Metric, etc to limit what data is displayed on the leaderboard.
- ⚙️ Leaderboard Display Settings:
- Once you've selected all your filters and display settings, select Save to exit Edit mode. The leaderboard is now saved to your Display Library for quick reuse.
The next time you would like to generate a Back Squat competition in your facility, simply click into your saved Leaderboard and start training!
Formatting Columns, Rows, and Branding
You can display one, two, or even three columns during a competition as well as change the number of rows displayed on the screen. This is especially helpful if you have relatively small TV displays. You can select a small number of rows (5 or 10) and now the Leaderboard will "Auto-Rotate" through your athletes based on the time you select. Further, you can set your custom branding to display behind your Leaderboard.
To edit the formatting on your Leaderboard:
- Click the "⚙️" icon on the top right corner of your leaderboard.
- Select the number of columns you'd like to display.
- You can select one, two, or three separate columns.
- Each of these columns can act independently: they can each have their own date range, exercise selection, metric, etc.
- Select the number of rows per column.
-
You can select 5, 10, 15, or 20 rows.
Tip: for greater visibility, select a smaller number of rows that fit your TV display and use the "Auto-Rotate Leaderboard" feature to cycle through your athletes.
-
- Select or de-select Auto-Rotate Leaderboard: when selected, the Leaderboard will cycle through the list of athletes who have data within the filters you have applied.
- The rotation time can be set at 10, 20, 30, and 60 seconds.
- Select or de-select Celebration: when selected, whenever there is a new athlete atop the Leaderboard, confetti will pop out!
- Click Branding if you would like to change the icon being displayed behind your Leaderboard.
Filtering Your Leaderboard
You are able to filter each column within a Leaderboard to display select information. Each column can be filtered independently: changing the filters on one column will not effect the filters on another column. Data is refreshed every 30 seconds.
To view more filters, select the filter icon to the left of the date selected. Filter options include:
- Team, Group, and Position: The position filter requires a team with positions to be selected first.
- Gender: Male, Female, or Other.
- Exercises: Select one, multiple, or all exercises.
- Metric and Metric Type: Choose between "Best Rep" of the set or the "Set Average" for the metric selected.
- Sort by Best to Worst (Fastest m/s to slowest; highest wattage to lowest wattage) or by Worst to Best (Slowest m/s to fastest; lowest wattage to highest wattage).
Advanced filters can also be selected. For your selected metric, you have the option to only include data within your specified ranges.
- For Velocity metrics: set a minimum velocity, maximum velocity, minimum weight used, maximum weight used, and minimum % of 1RM and maximum of % 1RM.
- For Power metrics: set a minimum power, maximum power, minimum weight used, maximum weight used, and minimum % of 1RM and maximum of % 1RM.
- For Time metrics: set a minimum time, maximum time, minimum weight used, maximum weight used, and minimum % of 1RM and maximum of % 1RM.
- For Distance metrics: set a minimum length, maximum length, minimum weight used, maximum weight used, and minimum % of 1RM and maximum of % 1RM.
- For Count metrics: set a minimum # of reps, maximum # of reps, minimum weight used, maximum weight used, and minimum % of 1RM and maximum of % 1RM.
- For Work metrics: set a minimum work, maximum work, minimum weight used, maximum weight used, and minimum % of 1RM and maximum of % 1RM.
- Once you have set your filters, click Done in the bottom right and press Save to get back to display mode.
Adding Additional Columns
Select display settings on each leaderboard to change the number of columns displayed from 1, 2 or 3 columns. For example, you could show three position groups competing against each other, or compare today's performance against a previous block in adjacent columns.
Sharing and Printing Leaderboards
Select the menu (⋯) on any saved leaderboard to share a unique link or download a PDF for printing.
Plan Displays
Plan displays show workout programming directly on weight room screens, so athletes can see their session without checking a phone or paper printout. Create unlimited unique display views, choose which workout plan and exercises to show, and customize the layout for your facility's setup. Save them to your Display Library for quick reuse.
Setting Up a Plan Display
- In the web app, select Display in the toolbar to navigate to the Display Library.
- Select Create New and choose Plan to open the Plan Display editor.
- Name your display - a name is required before you can save.
- Configure⚙️ Display Settings:
- Select the number of columns (1, 2, or 3 workout plans side-by-side)
- Turn Auto-Rotate on/off
- Toggle your custom organisation branding
- Plan Filters: Use the plan selector to choose a program and workout, then use the filter icon to control which exercises and set details are shown.
- Select Save to library to save the display for future use. The next time you want to show that same workout, simply open it from the Display Library and you're ready to go.
Launching a Display from the Plan Editor
You can open a Plan Display directly from the Plan Editor without navigating to the Display Library first. Click the Preview icon (▶) in the Plan Editor toolbar to open the Plan Display shortcut.
- Select the section and workout you want to display.
- For programs with multiple variants, select the variant to display.
- Click Display to open the Plan Display in a new tab, ready to be cast to your weight room TV.
Display Settings
Click the ⚙️ icon in the top right corner of your display to configure how it looks on screen.
-
Columns: Select 1, 2, or 3 columns to show multiple workout plans side-by-side.
- Each column is independent - they can each show a different program, workout, or variant.
-
Auto-Rotate: When enabled, the display will automatically scroll through the workout plan so all exercises are visible.
- Rotation duration can be set to 10, 20, 30, or 60 seconds per page.
-
Show your custom branding: Display your organisation's banner image as a watermark behind the plan content.
- Click Branding to update your organisation's banner image in settings.
Filtering Your Plan Display
Each column can be filtered independently to show exactly the content you need. Changing the filters on one column will not affect any other column.
Use the plan selector at the top of each column to choose a program and workout, then click the filter icon to access additional options:
- Program & Workout: Select a program, then drill down to a specific section and workout day.
- Variant: For programs with multiple variants (tracks), select which variant to display.
Click the filter icon to the left of the plan selector to open the column filter options:
- Display: Compact view is on by default. It collapses repeated sets into a single row (e.g. 3 × 5 @ 225 lb), making the plan easier to read at a glance on a TV screen. Turning it off shows each set as its own individual row (e.g. three separate rows each showing 5 @ 225 lb), which is useful when you want athletes to track or cross off each set individually. Note that sets with different reps, weights, or goals will always show as distinct rows regardless of this setting.
-
Set details: Choose which prescription details appear for each set:
- Show set comments
- Show goal prescription
- Show weight prescription
-
Exercises shown: Filter the exercises that appear in the column:
- All exercises - show every exercise in the plan
- Trackable only - show only exercises tracked by Perch cameras
- Untrackable only - show only exercises not tracked by Perch cameras
Adding Additional Columns
Select 2 or 3 columns in Display Settings to show multiple workout plans at the same time. This is useful when different position groups are training simultaneously - each column can show a different workout or program variant.
Streaming Displays to TVs
Both Leaderboards and Plan Displays run in a standard web browser, so connecting them to a TV is straightforward. To stream a display to one or multiple weight room TVs, connect a computer to the TVs via Chromecast, AirPlay, an HDMI cable, or any other streaming option.
Because displays are hosted on a web page, you can open multiple browser tabs and stream each to a different TV. This is especially useful when multiple lifting groups are training at the same time and you want to show each group their own workout plan.
